Kaye Viecelli – B.S. Education – Acting Director

Growing up in Suburban Chicago, I started working with children at eleven years old. My passion for children grew and I graduated with a degree in K-12 Education and Health from Indiana University.

While in college, I was able to work as a Teacher Assistant for a non-profit school with ages 6 weeks thru 6 years. My years assisting helped me realize that Early Childhood was where I belonged.

Moving back to Chicago, I became a nanny and then moved into Lead Teaching for toddlers at numerous schools in the city. After helping new schools open their doors, teach enrichment programs, and go through NAEYC accreditation twice I realized being a part of the larger school operations was where I was headed.

I attained an Associate’s Degree in Child Development and came to Sprouts where I was a Co-Lead in the RockStar and BeanSprout room and was able to move forward into an Assistant Directing role.

I look forward to starting my Master’s in Early Childhood Education and moving into political reform of early childhood education in years to come.

Sprouts is a magical place that I am so happy I get to be a part of every day. Being involved with a school that makes an everlasting impact on a child’s world is truly the greatest job.
