Ms. Erin – Beansprouts

Ms. Erin, Co-Lead Teacher Beansprouts

Erin is truly excited to part of the supportive community at Sprouts. It is a delight to teach in the two-year-old classroom where the youngest of our Sprouts are just beginning to lay the foundation for future development. The enthusiasm shared by the two’s in contagious. They remain fascinated by the world we live in and continually observe and elaborate upon their discoveries about it. Erin is grateful to have the opportunity serve as a guide during this integral phase of a child’s development. She is passionate about sensory learning and finding multiple modes of expression in the classroom as children discover self-awareness and negotiate social relationships. Erin often says, that for her, the students are her best teachers. They ignite the sense of wonder for simple delights that we tend to loose sight of as adults, like the flick of a light switch.

Erin studied theatre, dance, and movement at Columbia College where she received her BA in acting. For over ten years she has been teaching art, and various forms of visual and physical expression, to students ranging from two to fifteen years in both private and public school settings. In addition to her teaching in the Bean Sprout room, she is excited to institute the school’s dance, gymnastics, and creative movement program.
