Last Friday, I had the honor of being invited to the White House for the “Chefs Move to Schools” program launch, a part of the First Lady’s Let’s Move! Campaign to end the epidemic of childhood obesity. There were chefs from 37 states in attendance and let me to you, IT WAS AMAZING! We had the honor of listening to the First Lady, Michelle Obama speak about getting chefs into schools to help lead a change in getting kids and parents to eat REAL FOOD which involves cooking! Interesting…it sounds just like our culinary mission here at SPROUTS ACADEMY! Yea! I was excited to take lots of photos to share with you all! Check out the vegetable garden planted AND harvested by students in the Washington D.C. area!
